Masculine Car

Needed a masculine birthday card and was so happy for my Creative Stamping Kit that gave me both the image and the inspiration.  Anyone who knows me well, knows that I don't like to follow "recipes" (whether it be cooking recipes or cardmaking recipes) exactly....I'd rather tweak them a little to make them my own.  So...my card isn't exactly like theirs....I made it my own.
You may be thinking that I like my MS branch punch a little too much (adding branches to a masculine car card??), but in reality I did a big "whoops!"  When I was inking the "Happy Birthday" stamp I dropped the ink pad on the top of the card ---- I was too far along to start over and didn't want to waste my supplies, so the only thing I knew to do was cover it up.  You can ALWAYS add a flower here or there to a feminine card, but what to do on a masculine card?????  Branches was all I could come up with so branches it was.
Supplies used:
  • Stamps, Brads, Plaid DP, brown card, ink, ribbon --- all from Distinctly Classic Creative Stamping
  • Red/Brown Cardstock
  • MS Branch Punch

That's a great "rescue" for the card, and no one will ever know! (When was the last time a man you know noticed details on cards?) :)
