I Challenge You Wednesday -- No layers!

My friend and I took the summer off from our Wednesday challenges, but with fall and a more scheduled life we're starting it up again.
This weeks challenge was to make a card with no layers on it.  I actually picked this challenge (hard to believe since I'm more of a "pile it on" person) -- and it proved to be just that --- a challenge!
I didn't have a lot of time with company all week-end and not feeling very well since Sunday night, but here's the three projects I completed....
Supplies used:
  • Apple basket from here
  • Crayola markers
  • Harvest Expressions (Inkadinkadoo)
  • Copper Embossing powder
  • Houndstooth Embossing folder (Provo Craft)
  • Brown Ink pad (inked over the entire card)
  • Easy Stitches Template (Paper Pizazz)
  Supplies for this card:
  • Creative Memories Kit of the Month stamps - World Travels
  • Diamons in the Rough embossing folder (Provo crafts)
  • Brown Chalk (rubbed over vera marked bike/globe images)
  • Teal Ink (stamped "postmark" and compass with)
  • Brown marker (stitching and highlight around text)
  • Easy Stitches template (Paper Pizazz)
  • Brown ink pad (rubbed over embossed image)

Supplies used:
  • Utopiary Stamp set (Inkadinkadoo)
  • Coastal Stamp set (Inkadinkadoo)
  • Sentiment (Studio G)
  • Black Embossing Powder
  • Chalks (layered two shades of green and brown for earth and two shades of blue and black for sky)
  • Swirls Embossing Folder (Provo Craft)
  • Blue ink pad (inked over sky embossing)
  • Green ink pad (inked over earth embossing)
  • small circle (to mask the moon)
Now go here to see what my friend created (with no layers) for this week's challenge.

They're all very nice! The apple basket card is my personal favorite. I love the houndstooth embossing folder on it. I have that folder and haven't used it yet (got it for $2, so I couldn't pass it up). I'll have to pull it out and experiment!
