Masculine Sympathy

Here is yet another sympathy card - this time for a single man who recently lost his grandpa. I think I'm finally "getting the hang" of masculine cards -- they're not as hard for me to come up with as they once were.  I still have to resist adding ribbons and flowers as embellishments from time to time -- and think twine/jute/burlap/twigs instead!
Supplies used:
  • Stamp - Blue Ridge Impressions
  • Black embossing powder
    • stamped image in Versamark and embossed
  • Vellum
    • stamped image on
  • Bic Markers
    • colored the backside of the vellum image with
  • Blue Eyelets
  • Blue/White Cardstock
  • Cotton Twine
    • tied all those Figure 8 knots in (click here for a simple tutorial)

This is a great masculine card! The design could work just as easily for a birthday, too. Those knots are the perfect accent with the sea theme!
