Tissue Paper Flowers

I recently discovered Abby's blog - Little Birdie Blessings - and was blessed to make a new friend! We recently did an exchange - I sent her an "embellishment pack" and she sent me some cards she'd made.  The above card was one I made up to give to her.
Supplies used:
  • Wallpaper
    • for the background
  • Tissue Paper
    • flower
  • Beads
  • Vintage Lace
    • along side and behind flower
  • Threading Water Border Punch (Fiskars)
  • Julep Floral Stamp (Hampton Art)
  • Colored Pencils
Here's a few of the things I included  in my gift to her
Six Tissue Paper Flowers - You make these the same way as the Nestabilities Flowers - except I had about 8 layers of tissue for each size that I cut.  BTW - the pink ones started out white, I colored them with my homemade glimmer mist! The brown flowers had buttons in the center, the pink had pearls, and the white ones had micro beads.
A pack of die cut (and embossed) butterflies!
Some rolled roses in various colors. (Tutorial here)
There were quite a few other items in the pack, but I wanted to show you some of the pretty cards I got in exchange! They were just what I was wanting to give another friend as a gift, and they came just in time!
Thank you Abby for the great exchange!

I have to say that it sure felt like more than an "embellishment pack". I thought I'd won the lottery when your package arrived. I was thrilled with everything. I'm glad you shared some tutorial links here. Thanks for this sweet post my friend. You're a gem. I've already used a bunch of my treasures. ~ Abby
