Primitive Snowman

I made this stuffed snowman for a friend who loves country stuff nearly as much as I do! I based it on a primitive snowman I bought at a thrift store for $2.

 Supplies used:
  • tan material (for body)
  • brown felt (for hat)
  • green checked material (for scarf)
  • buttons
  • embroidery floss
  • twigs
  • rice (to make him stand up I poured about a cup of rice into the bottom before stuffing with fiber fill)
  • fiber fill
  • white paint
  • toothbrush (I thinned the white paint just a bit and splattered it using a toothbrush and the end of my scissors)
  • hot glue gun

Oh he (or is it a she?) is so cute. I have so many writing projects that I can't see to get much crafting done.

You *made* that?? Wow! When I first saw the picture, I thought for sure it was something you purchased at a craft fair. You did a great job!

Love your snowman. I might have to try to create one of them as well. When are we going to open "Our Shop"?

This is so cute - I love snowmen and I have many of them, but none like this. I might have to make one for myself! Adorable.
