Cherry Pecan Scones

Today I'm sharing a scone mix. What goes better with a hot cup of tea than a fresh-from-the-oven scone?! 

Cherry Pecan Scone Mix
1 1/2 cups flour
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/2 cup dried cherries
Mix together all ingredients.
 Package in a jar or bag and adhere these directions:
Cut in 6 T. butter.
Fold in 6 to 7 Tablespoons of buttermilk (or sour milk).
Mix just until dough comes together.
Turn on a floured surface, pat to a 1/2 inch thick circle.
Cut into wedges.
Place on greased baking sheet, brush with milk, dust w/sugar.
Bake @ 375 degrees for 18-20 min.
ENJOY!
Yield: 6 scones
