Gift Card Purse

We had occasion to attend a going-away-party for some Navy friends of ours that are moving overseas for 2 years. The suggested (and most practical) gift to give was a Visa card or money.  I wanted a pretty presentation for mine so I "whipped up" this pretty little gift card purse from
Since I went to all the work to make it I decided to make it re-usable by including a tag for my handwritten message, rather than writing the message on the inside of the purse.
Supplies used:
  • Cardstock and pattern paper
  • Blossom II Nestabilities (the flower)
  • Button (center of flower)
  • Script Embossing Folder - Provo Craft (embossed flower in)
  • Ribbon
  • Eyelets
  • All a Fleau border punch (Fiskars)
Since I was making one.....I went ahead and made two, but changed the second one slightly in the closure.
Here's a closer view of the flower so you can see the Scrip Embossing I used on it.
I'm linking up to:
Stampin' Sisters in Christ were the challenge is to use something new. I used a new tutorial that I found via Pinterest

I love gift card purses, but I especially love that you made yours reusable. I'm sure I'm not the only one that saves reusable gift packaging (to reuse), so this is really like a double gift. :)

What a great project. I am sure that your friends will appreciate all that you did in your presentation of that thoughtful gift. Thanks for sharing with the Stampin' Sisters in Christ Challenge.
