KNITTED Clutch

My second knitted project --- can you tell I'm having lots of fun with my newly acquired "skill?"
This was very easy and simple to do with two new techniques for this newbie knitter.....casting on and off in the middle of a row (for the button hole).
It uses only the garter stitch (knitting - no purling) - which is probably why I whipped it up so fast -- I'm faster at knitting than purling!
I didn't use wool so I didn't felt it like the pattern calls for.
You can find the free pattern on Ravelry -- click here
I'm thinking these would make nice Christmas gifts with some goodies tucked inside (like chapstick, gum, Germ X etc)......or maybe as pretty "envelope" for a cash gift or gift card!

I LOVE it. and am amazed at how quickly you picked this up. I looked at the video you showed earlier on knitting, and it looks easy. I might attempt something. Thanks for the inspiration as always. ~ Abby

Just beautiful. I think they will be great gifts! Nothing better than something handmade. I love the color and yarn you chose. They look like the perfect size to tuck into a tote bag. I am thinking a small pack of tissues, and chapstick, santitizer etc. Great to tuck some bills into to carry, or a gift card holder as well.
