Little Boy Gift

Here's a fun little gift I made up for a small friend.
I found the idea on Pinterest and followed the link to a free printable on the My Sister's Suitcase blog (click here).
[Isn't that just the cutest little printable?]

Candy Bouquets

Two candy bouquets I made for two different men on their birthday.
I made the one above in a fall theme choosing candies in autumn colors and a red bucket.
Below is one in a general theme.
Ideas for these are limitless

Primitive Sunflowers

Here's a primitive gift I made for my niece's birthday yesterday.
We both love primitive country decor and she wanted to add some "sunflowers" to her newly redecorated living room.
I couldn't find anything at our local shop so I decided to branch out and try my hand at making something.
You can find detailed instructions for making the sunflowers on the Primitive Times Magazine blog.
I used the free crow pattern from Free Craftz Patterns.
I painted the jar with brown craft paint - sealed it and then made a thin black wash (black paint and water) to go over it - sealing it again at the end with a clear sealer.
For the tag I coffee dyed some cardstock and tied my "blessing" to the jar with raffia.
Some Spanish moss and a few berry twigs completed the arrangement.

I made a fall arrangement for myself using the same sunflower pattern but different material. I used a painted mason jar I already had for the base.

Curtain Call Guest Designer

I was chosen as the lead in the "Tropical Trip" Curtain Call Challenge which earned me the honor of being a guest designer this week.

The flowers and gray stones of the wishing well inspired me to make an "end of summer" window complete with little flags waving amongst the summer blossoms.

Here's a closer view of the flower box

Hop on over to the Curtain Call Challenge site and join the fun for this week!

Supplies and tools: Madison Window, Shutter, Flower box dies (Memory Box), Flower punches, Toothpicks, Scallop Scissors, Paper Crimper (Fiskars),  Brick Wall Embossing Folder (The Paper Studio), Monarch Butterflies Trim (Martha Stewart), Banner Stamps (Recollections)

Kids Cards

Three special "little friends" have birthdays this month.
Here are the cards I made for them.
The first is a puppy dog whose ears pop up when you pull his tongue.
You can find the free template (and instructions) for him at Skip To My Lou.
The second card is a sweet little dress made from this free template on Stampington & Company.
Inside:
The last card is a penny-slider pirate card using graphics from DigiWebStudio.

Count Your Blessings

I recently found these free printable gratitude list templates on Pinterest and decided to make them into a mini Blessings Journal.
The "journal" is tag shaped with list templates on the front and back.
I kept the embellishments pretty simple -- just leaves -- since I plan to journal my thanks in color.
All set for November -- the month of Thanksgiving.
