Bird's Nest Burlap Canvas

I made one of these for my spring display on my piano and decided to add them to the Etsy shop as well.
These burlap canvases are perfect for rustic farmhouse, cottage chic, primitive, country, spring, summer, or mantle decor.
Easily displayed by hanging, sitting on an easel, or standing up as it.

Postcard Love

Today's card has several of my favorite elements:
Distressed postcard
3 D Flower
Inked edges
A fun (and inexpensive) way to distress edges is to scrape your scissor blade along them before inking.

Supplies and Tools: Postcard stamp (Hampton Art), Floral Grande Stamp (Heartfelt Creations), Sentiment Stamp (Stampin' Up), Blending Tool (Tim Holtz), Front Punch (Martha Stewart), Rhinestone

Simply Stamped

I'm not very good at making one layer cards, but occasionally I like to try.
The rose and butterfly were colored and stamped with water based markers.
It's a fun way to use more than one color on a stamp and has somewhat of a water color look to it.
(After coloring, breath on your stamp to moisten the ink again before stamping.)

Sending My Love

I got the idea for this card from my sister-in-law when she was  here a couple weeks ago.
It's a very simple, one-layer card made by swiping inks across the cardstock and stamping the main image over top.
Not every card has to be a masterpiece, sometimes less is more.

Supplies and Tools: Colorbox Pigment Ink, Bicycle Stamp (Inkadinkado), Sentiment Stamp

Book Page Envelopes

I've been wanting to try making book page envelopes for some time, and I finally made it to the thrift store to purchase a used kids book to try it on!
I think I'm hooked -- the next shopping trip will most certainly include more books to recycle into envelopes!
I bought a Winnie the Pooh book with pages measuring 8 x 10 inches and enlarged this template to turn them into envelopes.
To match the envelopes: I cut some white cardstock into one layer cards and stamped them with Pooh images.
All ready to brighten someone's day with some Winnie the Pooh cheer!
Pam (from Shelter: Postmarked) did a series of envelope inspiration posts last week.
You can find them here:

Spring Decor

Today I'm sharing the way I decorated my piano for spring time!
I'm also sharing links to the free printables I used.
You can find the burlap "He is risen" printable here
The Banner is made with FREE Burlap Alphabet Banner download here
and  the flowers can be found here.
I had a lot of fun making this bird's nest burlap canvas using an old dictionary page as a background.
This little bunny is like the ones in my Etsy shop except he has a blue tie to match my living room!
One of my friends gave me this beautiful little doily basket that I filled with handmade eggs.
The eggs are made with paper scraps, mod podged over plastic Easter eggs!
(I added some little yellow flowers to the garland)

Love

This week I'm featuring cards made using Guidelines Stamp Sets from Papertrey Ink.
For this card I stamped the images diagonally with Versa Mark Ink.
I then chalked over them with purple chalk to make them stand out from the background.
The sentiment is stamped (in Versa mark) and chalked as well.
