Watercolored Dahlia

I had so much fun with my first watercolor card, I decided to make a second one! This one features a Jumbo Dahlia stamp from Stampendous. I kept the card design fairly simple because I wanted the flower to be the center of attention.
I used the same technique as the first card (stamping the image lightly, coloring with distress inks, and then re-stamping the image in a dark ink over the water-coloring. (You can read a more detailed explanation here.)
I love how the extra paint spatters make the card just a bit more interesting!

Supplies and Tools:
Watercolor Paper, Tim Holtz Distress Inks (Spun Sugar, Abandoned Coral, Fired Brick, Aged Mahogany, Ground Expresso), Jumbo Dahlia (Stampendous), Pink Twine, White/Black Cardstock

so pretty, I have never tried restamping my image after watercoloring, I have seen that on a few video's I have watched, now if I can just remember to keep my stamp in the MISTI to try that

Just came across from Connie's blog.
I made a bee-line for pink, because it is my favourite colour.
A lovely looking card

All the best Jan
