Beauty of Nature

Today's cards are created using watercolor paper, distress inks, and a blending tool. I mask off the moon using a circle die cut and then laid down the lighter colors first then slowly added the darker colors over top. I added some stars using perfect peals and the shadows (under the trees/deer) were made using Crayola watercolor markers.
Supplies and Tools:
Pine Needles/Salty Ocean/Chipped Sapphire/Blueprint Sketch/ Hickory Smoke/Black Soot Distress Ink, Pine Tree Stamp, Deer Stamp (Martha Stewart), Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Blending Tool, Crayola Markers, Liquid Pearls, Diamond Stencil (Tim Holtz), Inside Sentiment (Stampendous)
For the second card I went for a sunrise over a meadow using the same technique as above. I added shadows to the butterflies and colored in the grass/flowers with Crayola watercolor markers. For extra detail on the butterflies I used a white gel pen to highlight their antennae and wings. I swiped my distress inks down the top and bottom of my card to make it match the sky and grass on my stamped panel.
Supplies and Tools:
Mowed Lawn/Fossilized Amber/Picked Raspberry/Abandoned Coral/Salty Ocean/Seedless Preserves/Black Soot Distress ink, Crayola Markers, Hello Doily Die, Die cut sentiment (Momento), Meadow Stamp Set (Inkadinkado), Gelly Roll Whit Gel Pen

Two gorgeous cards. I've never tried blending inks on watercolour paper - I think I should! Thank you for sharing at Ooh La La

You sure know how to nail a theme. Your 2nd card with the "sunrise"is amazing. It made my jaw drop :) Subtle coloured background and a fab contrast with the stamped flowers and butterfly. I love it! Thanks so much for joining us at CCCB!
