Stretched Burlap Canvas

I have a little mid-week inspiration for you today..... a burlap canvas decor decor project! Cropstop currently has both stretched burlap and natural canvases in 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 sizes. Both are convenient for making pretty pieces of home decor.  (To view a mini tutorial for creating those Layered 3D Flowers using the Tattered Florals die from Tim Holtz visit the Cropstop blog.)
To create my piece, I started with a 6 x 6 canvas and ran a strip of twine from the Cream Burlap Trim (Petaloo) set in a zig zag pattern across the front.  Next I attached leaves to my flowers (Flower petals Sizzix Die) and glued them in the corners. I added some mini clothespins with sentiments (stamped in Ground Espresso) from the Inspirational Stamp Set (Tim Holtz ).
I’d love to see how you use your crafting supplies to decorate your home, so stop by the CURRENT CHALLENGE and link up your creations that use products from companies Cropstop carries in the store.

This is very creative Esther and I like the use of the burlap as the background. The flower looks terrific. I'm not sure if the music has been stamped or printed but I really like how it adds interest to what would have been a plain flower. The stamped sentiments are very inspiring and I love how you've pegged them on. Thank you for joining us at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x

The Tattered Florals Die set is one of the very first die-cut sets I ever purchased. I'd forgotten how gorgeous the flowers are using them, and especially in aged music sheet paper. Lovely! Now I want to pull mine out and make something. Thanks for the inspiration, and thanks for sharing this AWESOME project with us at Word Art Wednesday.
