My turn to pick the challenge --- I picked shape cards......any shape but the usual rectangle/square. The above card was inspired by my sister-in-law (who doesn't have a blog -- but I wish she did!). She mentioned that she had made some Scotty Dog cards for the December card exchange at a local stamp store. I remembered the Scotty Dog chipboard book (Mary Engelbreit) I had picked up earlier this year. I used it for the pattern and added a Christmas ribbon around his neck and a brad for his eye. The other "arrangement" was made using the Martha Stewart branch punch, two little candy canes, and three red "beads." I embossed the whole dog using the houndstooth embossing folder (Provo Craft).
Supplies used on this little card:
- Shine on you (Stampendous)
- Black Embossing Powder
- Kitty Tiles (Hampton Art)
- Versa Mark
- Orange - Red Chalks
- Chalked over the Kitty Tiles with

Those are both fabulous!! Where does the dog card hinge? I'd love to make a few of those, but I never could figure out where to "hinge" him (although I was thinking of mini-books at the time).
ReplyDeleteI love the Stampendous sentiment, too. Did that come from an Ebay win??
They are both so lovely, and you've done a great job "staging" the photo for the kitty card, too. I always enjoy seeing what you come up with!

ReplyDeleteA. I hinged the Scotty Dog on the left side...it's not a huge hinge but it holds it together and seems to work just fine.
B. Not sure where I got that Stampendous stamp -- was thinking it came from A.C. Moore maybe??? or maybe it was a gift from Becky??
