My first card is a sympathy card I created using the BRAND NEW Encouraging Peonies set. I stamped it first in versamark ink on blue cardstock and embossed it in silver. Next I stamped it on white card stock and added just a bit of color to the petals and leaves with a waterbrush and some distress oxide inks.

Supplies and Tools:
  • Encouraging Peonies (Sweet n Sassy Stamps)
  • Tag Die
  • Baker's Twine
  • Versamark Watermark Ink
  • Silver Embossing Powder
  • Waterbrush
  • These colors of Distress Oxide (Ranger):
    • Faded Jeans, Peeled Paint

My second card features a preorder set called "Fear Not." This special set is part of a fundraiser for a high school senior Nick Saenz whose battling osteosarcoma.

To make the little houses stand out a bit more against my patterned paper background, I used a black sharpie to trace around the windows and add a few lines around the edges.

Supplies and Tools:

  • Sweet n Sassy Stamp Sets
  • Flower Shower Spring Stack (DCWV)
  • Quilted Delight M-Bossabilities (Spellbinders)
  • Crochet Dies (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Black Rhinestones
  • These colors of Distress Oxide (Ranger)
    • Dusty Concord, Wilted Violet, Peeled Paint, Twisted Citron, Black Soot
