Tea Card Set

I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog today with this tea themed card set. I chose four double sided papers from the Bloom & Wild Paper Pad as my starting point and cut them down as follows:

  • Floral Piece = 5.25" x 3"
  • Plain coordinating side = 5.25" x 1.5"

I trimmed 2.25" from my card front so that it measured 5.5" x 3.25". I used the cut off strip to die cut a strip of paper lace using the Crochet Dies from Tim Holtz.

The white card panel measures 5.25" x 2.5" and it fits perfectly beside the colored piece.  I inked up one side of my Lace Embossing Folder with distress oxide and stamped it on the colored piece before adding it to the inside of the card.

I stamped a sentiment from the Fear Not  and flowers from  Floral Cluster Summer Roses  on the inside left panel and added that piece of paper lace to the white panel.

I die cut the teacup and sentiment using the Coffee or Tea? Dies  and embossed the cup with the 3D Doily Embossing Folder. I inked over the embossing with white pigment ink and spritzed it with shimmer spray before adding the "thinking of you" sentiment.
