He holds the future

Today's mixed media card features the NEW Victory Blooms stamp and die set from Creative Worship Stamps. To create the background I spritzed and smooshed a piece of mixed media paper with Mermaid Lagoon and Cracked Pistachio Distress Sprays. Next I used the palette knife to spread crackle paste through the Leaf Fronds stencil. The flowers and leaves were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I splattered both the background and the flower with diluted white acrylic paint. The edges of the background and the sentiment were distressed with a pair of open scissors. Three pretty pink sequins and an inspiring sentiment complete this card.

Your Word Is Truth

I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog with this mini art journal layout featuring their dahlias stamp set. To create the background I mixed together two shades of green acrylic paint and dry brushed it onto the watercolor paper. Next, I added swirls with white gesso and the Flourish TH stencil and stamped a bit of text using one of the scripty backgrounds. The flowers were stamped on mixed media paper, die cut, colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens, and splattered with white acrylic paint. A Scripture sentiment and three green sequins complete this page.

Be Strong

Today's card features the two new stamp sets from Creative Worship Stamps. I love the big Scripture sentiment stamp, but I confess, sometimes I struggle with using sentiments that large. I started to create a plain kraft and black card, but on a whim I added the yellow flowers in my "scrap bin" from a failed previous projects. I'm loving the pop of color they add. The flowers and leaves were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I inked the edges of my kraft panels with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add just a bit more depth and interest.

Snowdrops

Today marks the start of a new venture - art journaling! I'm not quite brave enough to try a big journal yet, so I'm starting with this mini watercolor journal. My first page features stamps and dies from the Creative Worship Stamps January release illustrating Psalm 30:5b, "Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning."

To create the background, I mixed some light blue and turquoise acrylic paint and used a baby wipe to swipe it onto the watercolor paper pad. Next, I stamped the background with dots, numbers, and sentiments and lightly stenciled a design using Salty Ocean Distress Oxide. The Snowdrops were stamped on mixed media paper, die cut, and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. Both the snowdrops and the background were splattered with white acrylic paint. To finish off the page, I added a bit of silver wire behind the flowers and a few blue rhinestones.
