Crocheted Dishcloths

Finally got my replacement camera cord....so now I can show you what I've been up to lately.......making crocheted dishcloths.
A friend of mine (and her mom) ask me to teach them to crochet so I decided to start with something simple and easy.  We didn't actually get that far in our lessons yet, but once I started finding dishcloth patterns I had to try them myself.
I started out by making up a crocheted dishcloth gift for a friend who had a birthday last week.
I rolled these three up, tied them with a ribbon, and put them inside the pot.

The fourth one I put on a stem and made it stick out of the top of the pot!

While away for the weekend I made up several more and gave them to friends and family.
I also made one like the last one in yellow and white, but I forgot to take a picture of it.
Here are some links to some of the patterns I used if your interested:
  1. ChrysanthemumDishcloth
  2. Granny Square Dishcloth
  3. Granny Square Dishcloth 2
Lots and Lots of other dishcloth patterns

Nice dishcloths. I've made a lot of these over the years. Yours look a lot better than mine. They make such a nice gift. Great job.

You have been busy! I like making these and working with the Sugar and Cream yarn is so easy. My favorite is the yellow and white and the flower pot idea is adorable. I blew it up and found out you rolled a couple more in the pot. The tag is cute, too. Love your creativity! (I'm crocheting something you'll like -- it will be a couple weeks before it's "unveiled.")

These are beautiful!!! Such lovely gifts. I'm crochet challenged. lol I just can't get the hang of it. Seeing your pretty work makes me wish I could.

I love, love, love that mum dishcloth! My hands are pretty small, so I find crocheted dishcloths a little difficult to work with ... but these are so pretty that I'm tempted to make some and try them again.

You are the queen of "presentation", you know. I would have never thought of putting them in that flowerpot, but it's perfect!

Your dishclothes look awesome! Thanks for those links. I've been looking for some nice patterns for dishclothes for a while. Since I am just a beginner in crochet I was looking for something easy, and I found it here. Thanks. Btw, beautiful presentation :)

Wow! How I wish I knew how to crochet... and how I wish I paid more attention to my father when he tried to teach me how to crochet and knit :(

Thanks for sharing.... have a lovely weekend!

ES! I think it's so interesting that the very day I starting watching youtube knitting and crocheting videos on youtube is the same day as I came here to catch up on your projects! I've been so in the mood to learn to knit or crochet...really just to create! I've been pulling out old cross-stitch books to look at, and keep thinking about card-making, etc. So all in all...yep, I wish you were closer. (I know I say it all the time, but just in case you forgot...!)
