The Card Concept - Happy Mother's Day

Welcome to a brand new challenge on The Card Concept blog!
The theme this week is: Happy Mother's Day
Everyone is welcome to play along using the colors, the theme,
textures, items, or just anything from the picture as your starting point.

I was inspired by the beautiful floral centerpiece to create
this clean-and-simple card and matching bookmark.

The mason jar bouquet and bookmark are both stamped on watercolor paper and painted with watercolors. I love adding a bit of text and plenty of splatters to my watercolor images -- it just seems to "finish them off."

Digital Back to School Bookmark

Have you ever tried creating with a digital scrapbook set before? I love all the fun sets OohLaLa Scraps has in their Etsy shop, and you can't beat the current sale price of $2.49!!

Today's project is a Back-to-School bookmark I created using the fun images from "Nearly Fall" Digital Scrapbook Set.

One of the cool things about creating digitally is there is absolutely no waste! You can add and subtract elements till you get it just right, and then the only thing left to do is hit "print."
I printed mine on a piece of Canson Watercolor paper and added some fun fibers for the ribbon.

Don't you just love that adorable little hedgehog?!?! This bookmark and fun little snack pack is going to a friends little girl who is starting 1st grade this year.
