None Other Name

Today's card features several NEW products for January from Creative Worship Stamps. To create the  background I inked up my embossing folder with chipped sapphire ink, spritzed it with water, add a piece of mixed media paper, and ran it through my Spellbinders Die Cutting Machine. I then re-inked it in spots with Prize Ribbon Distress Ink, spritzed it with water and ran it through a second time. The sunflower and butterfly were stamped on mixed media paper in waterproof ink and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I added a few white acrylic paint splatters to finish them off. The sentiment was stamped in Versafine Clair Nocturne Ink on white card stock and die cut with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I added a tiny clip or gingham ribbon and some silver wire for extra texture and dimension. 1 stamp 2 ways

In celebration of 17 years of business, the CWS team is featuring previously released stamp sets. This week the focus is on the years 2010 - 2014, and all of these sets are 20% off, but hurry the sale ends today! Find them in the Through the Years Sale category. I used the Flowers in Blooms Stamp set from this category and created two different styles of cards - scroll down to see the second one. Which style do you like best? Clean-and-simple or lots of layers?

Happy Mother's Day

I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog today with this bright n cheery Mother's Day card featuring their Coffee or Tea? dies and the Summer Roses stamp set. Instead of using the coordinating die for the roses, I stamped the center rose six times and fussy cut it to form the pretty little bouquet sticking out of my tea cup. (Note: To create the smaller size I cut just the inside of that center rose.)

Pretty Peonies

I'm back with another guest design post for Altenew featuring those gorgeous peonies from Paint-A-Flower: Coral Sunset. This time I used them to create a background panel for my card by embossing them in white on piece of purple card stock. The main illustration is stamped in waterproof ink on watercolor paper. To color them, I scribbled the markers on my glass mat, picked it up with a waterbrush pen, and applied it to my image.
