Cheer

I've started on some winter/Christmas themed cards and I'm sharing the first of them today.
A fun winter scene made with the Loads of Love (Stampin' Up) stamp set.
I used a snow writer to make the textured snow and added some clear glitter over top for a fun sparkly effect.

Thank You

Here's a thank you card I made for a friend who took our family pictures the other day.
The camera image came from Birdie Brown's freebies (here).
I colored the image with my Prismacolor Scholar Pencils and added some rhinestones and glitter.

Autumn

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.”
-- L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
“The season for enjoying the fullness of life — partaking of the harvest, sharing the harvest with others, and reinvesting and saving portions of the harvest for yet another season of growth.”
-Denis Waitley

“How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days.”
- John Burroughs

"Now Autumn's fire burns slowly along the woods and day by day the dead leaves fall and melt."
 William Allingham
“The one red leaf, the last of its clan,
That dances as often as dance it can,
Hanging so light, and hanging so high,
On the topmost twig that looks up at the sky.”

-Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Ruffle Scarf

I know these have been "all the rage" for quite some time, but I'm just now getting around to trying my hand at knitting one. I found out they are super easy to make and can be completed in just a little bit of time.
This one was a birthday present for a very special friend.

Adjust Your Sails

A friend found me 3 folders of Just Rite Stamps and gave them to me for my birthday a little while back.
I've since discovered that the Just Rite company did away with the older style of stamps and went to cling stamps - no longer selling the wood blocks to mount the older style on.
However, all is not lost!
I found that by painting an extra clear block with Aileen's Tack it Over and Over glue you can simply stick the stamp to the front and use it like you would a cling stamp.
The other option would be to purchase stamp mount cling foam and make your stamps usable that way.
I chose the cheaper easier method!
 Supplies used:
  • Kraft Cardstock
  • Diamonds Embossing Folder (Sizzix)
  • By The Sea Stamp Set (Just Rite)
  • Thread Water Border Punch (Fiskars)
