Framed Nest Definition Prints

Two more items I made for the shop - Framed Nest Definition Prints.
I created this graphic a year or two ago - and you can find it in my shop in two different sizes.
The larger one is printed on cream cardstock and the smaller one on vellum.
Both go great with the bird's nests I featured yesterday.
Perfect for spring or just adding to your cottage chic decor!

Crocheted Fabric Bird's Nest

My camera cord decided to quit on me last week, and the replacement didn't arrive till Saturday afternoon.
I added quite a few new things to the shop Saturday evening including:
Two handmade crocheted bird's nests - made of fabric!
Inside each is a handmade muslin egg - one is painted - both are spritzed with speckles.
The pattern for the nest came from a back issue of Crafts and Things.

These are great for adding a touch of spring to your home or maybe they'd fit in with your cottage chic decor!

While I couldn't find a fabric nest tutorial on-line - here's one using yarn in case you'd like to make a nest of your own.

Think Spring!

Where I live we rarely get a lot of "cold" or snow, but Monday night we got 8 inches of white fluffy stuff!
Though I'm originally from the north and love snow, this time all the cold has me itching for spring.
Here's a card I made using the faux weathered wood tutorial to make a fence with a tiny gate that opens.

I used this same weathered wood on this "By The Sea" card:
You can find a tutorial for making this on Kittie Kraft' s blog.

Farmhouse Chic Frame

I made this farmhouse chic frame for a birthday present!
Since I like how well it came out, I'll probably be re-making it for myself whenever my new guest room is completed!

The frame is handpainted and sealed with clear sealer.
I added a burlap back, wide piece of lace, stamped clothespin clip, three small buttons, and a mini canvas banner.

Floral Hello

I'm finally beginning to feel myself again after a bad bout with stomach flu!
Here's a card I created using a cream and black color scheme.
It uses my all-time favorite flower stamp from Heartfelt Creations - Flora Grande.
I added patterned paper and a stamped sentiment to the inside as well.
I really like the look of the cream paper with brown inked edges!

Tri-Fold Card

I've been working on restocking my nearly depleted card stash.
This tri-fold card was especially fun to make.
I love how using papers from one paper stack makes takes the work out of choosing colors and designs.

Supplies used: Tattered Florals die (Tim Holtz), Paper Crimper (Fiskars), Button, Twine, Pearls, Square punch, corner punch (Martha Stewart), sentiment (Stampendous)

More pillows

Here are two more shabby chic pillows I made for the Etsy shop.
First up a frilly white ruffle pillow that looks great paired with the floral doily pillow from last week!
The second one is a heart shaped doily pillow made out of green ticking with....
...a soft green felt back.
You can find all three of these pillows over at Our Homemade Blessings
