Mother's Day - Proverbs 31

Sharing a framed Scripture piece I made especially for Moms.
The wooden frame is handpainted in the shabby chic style and sealed with a clear sealer.
The art is made of floral fabric with a polka-dot ruffle.
The verse is printed on canvas and embellished with paper roses and pearls.

You can find this piece in my Etsy shop or make your own using the free printable below!

Table Runner

I had a lot of fun designing and creating this shabby chic table runner for my shop.
I used two of the same fabrics from the Hoop Art and Mother's Day Cards and added in a green and white polka-dot material I just picked up.
A white fabric ruffle on each end makes this piece "soft and feminine!"
Stop by the shop and check it out!

Embroidery Hoop Art

Here's an original and unique creation I made using an embroidery hoop.
I used some pretty floral fabric and paired it with pink sear sucker and lace.
The label is cut from canvas and written on with a pink sharpie marker.
I crocheted the butterfly and added a few pearls to complete this piece.
I created the Mother's Day cards to match - both can be found in my Etsy shop.

Mother's Day Cards

Mother's Day will be here before you know it!
I decided to try something different on my cards this year -- I used fabric and lace for the fronts instead of cardstock!
I love how they turned out so "soft and feminine."
These are available in my shop and include a pretty envelope and crocheted butterfly magnet.

Sailboats

I've added two handmade (paper-mache) sailboats to the shop!
The sail is handsewn to the mast and each has colorful buttons adorning the front.
For the base I used dictionary pages to paper mache with and lightly painted over it with red (blue) and ivory paint.
These are perfect for decorating a little boys room (nursery) or adding to any other nautical collection.

Sailboats

I'm working on a few "summer items" for the Etsy shop.
I made this fun piece of "Sailboat Art" by painting, distressing, and sealing a frame I had.
Next I created a sailboat from burlap, canvas, and dowel rods and layered it on blue ticking.
A little bit of twine completes the look!
You can find this piece in our Etsy shop:

Camping - Woodland Birthday Party

A camping themed birthday party for a great-nephew who turned 1 Easter Sunday and his grandpa who turned 50 three days later!
I made this fun camping cake for my nephew and a giant chocolate chip cookie for his grandpa (my brother).
Here's some pictures of the decor that I did for their combined party.
The decorations I made/used for my brother.
My nephew's part of the party:
I made the chalkboard printable and the tent. I covered the "E" with denim and made little hobo bags (with prizes inside) for my three great-nephews out of bandanas.
Here's a closer view of the chalkboard printable I made:
