Felt Flowers

Some time back I got a bunch of felt at a thrift store for 99 cents.  Been wanting to try putting it through the Cuttlebug for some time, and finally got a chance.  Found that it worked best with Sizzix dies -- the Provo craft dies didn't want to cut it even after running it through 4 times.
The above cards were the simple product of my experiments -- the felt flowers were cut out with the Sizzix, Build a Lilac die.  I found that I could also flip them and use them as vertical cards -- pictured below...

Supplies used:
  • DP - Home (My Mind's Eye)
  • Sizzix, Build a Lilac die
  • Provo Craft die (don't know the exact name)
  • Felt
  • White Pearl Iridescent Paint (centers of flowers in corners)

How pretty! And yes, you're right about the felt. Only the Bigz and original red (or black) Sizzix dies will cut felt. The Sizzlet and Cuttlebug dies won't usually do it, unless you have very thin felt, which doesn't always hold up to the cutting process. :)

I love your dp, too. Did you get it in one of those big stacks?

It is a stack, but only a small stack.... something like 6 inches square. I got it in the clearance aisle at Michaels (and I think you were with me - smile!). I like stacks of paper because then they coordinate and it's easy choosing papers to go together on a project that way! (And my favorite reason for buying a stack is that there is usually more than one of each piece. I hoard it for a long time if there's only one piece!)
