Happy 100th Birthday

A friend commissioned me to make a special card for her to give someone who is turning 100 years old this year! I used the entire July Mini Release plus quite a few previously released products to create this little folio birthday card for her.

I incorporated papers and some of the flowers from Sweet the Soul printables released in May. In order to resize them, I opened the PDF, screenshot the florals (or papers) I wanted to use, saved the, and then inserted them into Word where I can resize and even adjust the color of them if I want. (I made the blue striped paper a bit darker than the original for this little folio.)

Envelope Folio

Today I have another folio to share with you. This one is made from gluing two envelopes together (as pictured below). To see this folio in action visit my Youtube page.

I used lots of  stamps and dies from Creative Worship Stamps and printable papers from Pink Monarch Prints.

After printing a double-sided piece of card stock and folding it in half, I hand sewed it into the center of my envelopes to create extra pages.

Each layout features pockets and tuck-ins with encouraging sentiments.

This particular folio has a sympathy theme as was created with someone in mind who recently lost her husband.

I folded a pretty piece of printed paper in half and tucked it into one of hte pockets so as to have a space to write a personal note.

I added pretty silver thread behind several elements to make them stand out a bit more.

The Vintage Postcards set is one of my favorites - I find myself using it over and over again.

I added bits of crocheted lace throughout, to give the album a Shabby-Chic feel.

Sweet to the Soul

Creative Worship Stamps has a BRAND NEW Sweet to the Soul printable and coordinating digital paper pack releasing today.

I created this fun little folio using almost all the images in the printable and several of the new papers. See a little flip through on my Youtube.

First layout - I added crochet lace along the pockets on every page.

Inserts from first layout - I resized a few of the images to fit my little folio better.

To resize images, I opened the PDF and then used the screenshot function to select the item I wanted and saved it. After cleaning it up (erasing anything I didn't want around the image), I inserted it into my word program, sized it, and printed.

Second layout - I added stamped elements and CWS die-cuts throughout the folio.

Second layout inserts - the button die from the Sew Happy stamp set fits those Typewriter Keys Alpha stamps perfectly!

Spring Collage Tag Folio

Lately I've been having fun with folios and today's features quite a few products from the Creative Worship Stamps NEW May Release!

This folio is slightly smaller than an A2 card measuring 3.75" x 5.25". I combined my CWS stamps, dies, and stencils with printable papers from Blue Eclectic Junk Journal Digital Paper Pack  (Pink Monarch Prints) See a little flip through on my Youtube.

The front features a side pocket behind the stamped tag that includes the floral pull out pictured above.

Inside I stenciled the NEW Heart Doily Stencil  and added two pockets filled with homemade ephemera.

The colored images were stamped mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens. I folded over a piece of patterned paper and slightly offeset one of the new Ticket dies to create an attached double ticket.

Roses Folio

I've been into creating little folios of late and decided to use some pretty printable papers from Pink Monarch Prints as my base on this one. I used lots of stamps and dies from Creative Worship Stamps to decorate it and incorporate encouraging messages.

I started with a piece of  5.75" x 9.5" card stock that I had printed on both sides with two different papers from the Blue Spring Papers set. I scored it at 2.5" and 6" and folded on the score lines to create my little folio. I added two simple pockets to the inside and filled them with tags and stamped ephemera.

All the roses were stamped on mixed media paper, colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens, and splattered with diluted white acrylic paint.
