A sweet lady (Pam from Our Sheltering Tree) recently performed a Random Act of Kindness on behalf of my daughter. I wanted to let her know how much I appreciated her thoughtful gift that made our day a little bit brighter, so I decided to make her a Love Bug Paper Bag Album to put pictures of her 3 (soon to be 4) sweet grand kids in. I included lady bugs (or "love bugs) throughout the entire album.
If you've never made one of these - you're missing out on a LOT of fun! Here's a quick tutorial to get you started from the Scrapbook Crazy website. (there are other fun albums to make on the sidebar - as well as a few other ways to use your paper bags!)
First two pages:
Each double page also has a matching insert to be pulled out of the paper bag's "pockets." For this page it pulls out on the left (not sure if you can see that polka-a-dot tab sticking out or not).
Here's the insert
The next two pages
Now the fun things about this page is that ladybug on the right --- she opens up her wings for you to journal under
And here's the insert that matches these pages
Wanted to leave you with a link -- here's a great tutorial on making a "mini" album using 4 legal size inter-office envelopes. Found this last week through the Whipperberry Friday Flair links. I want to make one sometime soon -- maybe as a gift.......love that it has pockets!
