Here's the bottom book - Paper - Ephemera Background Papers (Hot off the Press), Images from the Graphics Fairy. I edged it with a black Bic marker.
The middle book uses paper from K & Company - and image from a vintage calendar -- punched the border around the edge out of music paper with a Fleur di lis border punch.
The top book is done in pink with the same supplies as the first book. I edged it with a metallic Bic marker.
I stacked two of them up under my "new" lamp.
The black one I stood up in another corner
Here's a view of them stacked up together so you can see the spines of them.
Fun and easy alterations!

Oh very pretty! I love your decorating style!
Such a great idea, love the vintage looking of the books with the new covers! did you cover it front and back? from what i see on the stacked one photo, you did, just had to ask before i try this! thanks for dropping by!
Yes, the books are covered front and back --
Hmmm...I have lots of old books. I think a couple of these wrapped with a string would make a great gift!
These are beautiful! My favorite (in case you didn't already know) is the rose one. :) Did you use Mod Podge to adhere the papers? I only asked because I know some of those older books have some "interesting" textures to their covers.
Oh, isn't that fun?!
