Soft Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are fast becoming a favorite around our house. Reason being -- they are SO SOFT and chewy.  I sent some of these to a Navy friend overseas and he reported (3 1/2 weeks later) that they were still soft and chewy when he got them! Here's the recipe...
Soft Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Cream together:
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter
2 sticks butter - NO SUBSTITUTES
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. baking soda
Add:
2 1/4 cups flour
1 bag chocolate chips
1/2 to 1 cup walnuts
Drop by tablespoon fulls onto buttered cookie sheet.  Bake in 400 degree oven for 8 - 9 min.  Cool on cookie sheets 1 minute.  Remove and cool on wire racks.
ENJOY!

These look so yummy! I love peanut butter! I am kind of a nut..where I pick out my chips in chocolate chip cookies...put them to the side..but peanut butter and chocolate chips...sounds really yummy! If I could just eat one...and not the whole batch! Hugs!
TFS!
