Another scone mix -- this time Gingerbread!
Gingerbread Scone Mix
1 cup flour
2 T. brown sugar
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
Combine above ingredients and place in jar or bag to gift.
Attach the following directions:
Cut in 1/4 cup butter. Stir in 2 1/2 T. molasses & 1 1/2 T. milk & 1 egg.
Mix just until dough forms
Pat into a 1/2 in. thick circle on floured board -- cut into wedges.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Bake @ 425 degrees for 15-18 min.
Drizzle with glaze (1/2 cup powdered sugar and 1 T. milk OR lemon juice).
Yield: 6 scones
