Fall Decor

First of all I want to say a big "THANK YOU" to everyone for their kind comments and prayers regarding my disc surgery 3 1/2 weeks ago.  I'm coming along, still not up to 100% --- probably more like 50% right now.

This past week I managed to start 4th grade with my daughter, but that is about ALL I was able to accomplish in one day.... just school. I did spend a few hours "crafting" on the evenings I felt like it -- and the above project is one of my super easy creations.

I recycled a country calendar page -- added 4 strips of scrapbook paper behind it--- and popped it in a frame.  I'm really lovin' how it turned out -- it really adds to my autumn decorations!
Here's my easy cover up for the hole in the calendar page ----- a bee sticker! It fits right in and I doubt you'd guess that it wasn't part of the original picture!
And here it is on my lamp stand with some other fall decor
(The picture is at an odd angle because the light wanted to glare on the frame!)
Come back next week to see more homemade fall decor!

I put all my fall decorations up a couple weeks ago. It's my favorite season to decorate. I just giggled at the bee sticker.

Glad you are coming along nicely. Just keep doing what you are doing, as it is working! Love your fall decor piece. What a great way to use pretty calendar art. I have been keeping old calendars (I didn't want to toss them..) I will have to give this a try. The bee was a great idea! (It is still very hot here..hoping your fall pier will inspire Mother Nature to cool us down and start Fall weather!)

What a great idea, and it turned out so pretty! Very creative way to cover the hole, too! Thanks for sharing this.
