Patriotic 3D Star Template

Since tomorrow is Independence Day here in the USA, I have a patriotic card to share with you today. It features a fun 3D star (template below) - For a mini tutorial on how I created it visit the Cropstop blog.
To create my card, I started with a piece of Neutral colored Core'dinations cardstock. I embossed it with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder (Darice), and sanded it. To add a bit of extra color, I used my ink applicator and inked the edges in Gathered Twigs Distress Ink (Tim Holtz).
For the middle panel, I embossed a piece of blue cardstock with the stars Embossing Folder (Darice) and rubbed my white pigment inkpad over the top for added dimension. I added a strip of white cardstock underneath and a pretty piece of punched lace made with the embroidered lace border punch from Martha Stewart. I tied some natural colored burlap string around the panel and added my 3D star inked in Fired Brick Distress Ink (Tim Holtz). The sentiment comes from the American Collection (Amy Design).
The inside is decorated using my Labels 8 Nestabilities (Spellbinders), some Washi Tape, and a flag from the same stamp set the sentiment came from.
I'd love to see how you use the 3D star template so stop by the CURRENT CHALLENGE and link up your projects that use products from companies Cropstop carries in the store!

Happy 4th of July, Esther! I wanted to pop by to say hello, and also to say a BIG THANK YOU for my lovely Birthday card and gifts. I made a blog post yesterday to share my goodies with the blogging world. Believe me, I will put them to good use! Thanks so much for being a blessing to me. You made my birthday special. God gets the glory and praise, and you get the thanks. He has not only blessed you with talent, but with such a gracious heart.
Hugs,
Karen
