Mixed Media Masculine Tag

Today's creation is something totally out of the ordinary for me --- mixed media, a tag, and masculine! Both mixed media and masculine are areas I "struggle" in, but lately I've been branching out and trying my hand at both.
(For a step by step tutorial on creating both the background and the tag, visit the Cropstop blog today!)
 Supplies and Tools:
Manila Paper, Distress Stains (Picket Fence/Peeled Paint), Distress Crayons (Peeled Paint/ Vintage Photo), Distress Inks (Black Soot/Ground Espresso), TCW Mini Life Numbers Stencil, Burlap Stencil (Tim Holtz), Bitty Grunge Stamp Set (Tim Holtz), Curious Possibility Stamp Set (Tim Holtz), That's the ticket die set (Spellbinders), Burlap String, Corrugated Cardboard, Cheese Cloth, Gears, Twine, Circle Punch, Crop-a-dile

You are one of a kind to! You do wonderful creative things outside your comfort zone.

I love the way you added the gears and the cardboard.

Well I for one am really pleased that you've branched out a little from your comfort zone as I think this masculine tag is absolutely superb. I really like the layout, the stamps that you've used and the composition of the tag too, keep up the good work. Thank you for sharing this with us at Stamping Sensations and good luck. Sandra x

Hi Esther,
I know what you mean in regards to struggling with masculine & mixed media. I am exactly the same but you have done a wonderful job. I love how you have used the distress inks & stains. The corrugated card really adds some beautiful texture & dimension. Fantastic job. Thanks for sharing :)

Hi Birgit,
I just had to stop by & let you know that I love your card. Such a wonderful, happy & cheerful scene. We all love going on holiday & this card really makes you smile just by looking at it :) You did a fantastic job with the 'fussy cutting' & using the distress inks for the background is great. Really love this card. You did a great job :) I've pinned it to Pinterest. Thanks for sharing.
