Friendship Tea

I had originally planned to post only one tea/coffee themed card a day, but when I saw Autumn's beautiful card I immediately wanted to CASE it. (See her GORGEOUS card here!) I combined my inspiration from Autumn with this super fun sketch from My Sketch World, and ended up with two posts today for the Coffee Lovers Spring + Summer Blog Hop.

To create my card I:
  •  cut a piece of vintage dictionary page to size and matted it to a piece of dark blue cardstock, sewing along the edges
  • Added strips of lace, fabric, designer paper, and a strip of paper lace punched with the Eyelet lace border punch (Martha Stewart) and stamped with the Script stamp from Stampin' Up in Walnut Stain Distress Oxide (Ranger)
  • printed a teacup template and stenciled over it with the Floral Ornate stencil (Waverly) in Faded Jeans Distress Oxide (Ranger)
  • Cut a tea bag tag using a small square punch, clipped the top corners, and added a tiny punched flower with a pearl center
    • attached the tea tag to the cup with burlap string
  • folded a coffee stained doily in half and crumpled it up under my cup
  • added my stenciled cup to the card with mounting tape for dimension
  • created three little flowers using the Tiny Tattered Floral dies (Tim Holtz)
  • cut a strip of kraft card stock and punched the end with the Eyelet Lace punch (Martha Stewart)
  • stamped the sentiment from Wordsworth in Faded Jeans Distress Oxide (Ranger)
