Today's card is kind of different with it's grungy dictionary page background and glossy sentiment. It sort of looks like a vintage Valentine card - but it was my attempt at illustrating one of my favorite lines from "Come Thou Fount."
Supplies and tools:
- Hymn Word Art (Sweet n Sassy Stamps)
- Dictionary Page
- Mixed Media Grunge (Stamplorations)
- Black Soot and Candied Apple Distress Oxide
- Versamark Watermark Ink
- Ultra Thick Embossing Enamel (Ranger)
- Heart Punch
- Feather Lace Oval Dies (Gina Marie)

I love hymns as you know, this is a stunning card. I like to pull phrases out of hymns like this, especially the hymns i know well, it helps the words be less common. I just looked up "fetter", it's like shackles. Beautiful thoughts to ponder this morning. Thank you Esther. ~ Abby
You know, I never even noticed that text cloth. Good eye! This looks fabulous, Esther! Love how you added the grunge stamping to the background, and the red with the bold black word art is very dramatic. The gloss adds bunches of texture. Thanks so much for sharing with us at Double D!
Cool grunge feel, I do love the texture that the ultra thick embossing really gives those hearts especially!
