It's time for our monthly Designer's Choice Challenge over on The House That Stamps Built. This month it was Shirley's turn to pick and she wants us to use a stamp (or stamps) that bring back childhood memories. I chose to make a winter forest scene that reminds me of growing up in rural Pennsylvania.
Supplies and Tools:
- Repeat Impressions Stamps
- Aleene's Glitter Snow
- These colors of Distress Oxide (Ranger)
- Black Soot
- Broken China
- Salty Ocean
- Faded Jeans
Check out what my fellow design team members created for this week's challenge

What a stunning scene and memory, this card would be fabulous displayed in a frame! Best wishes for 2020!
Happy New Year, Esther! May the year be as peaceful and serene as this card! Gorgeous!
We have visited PA often, as our daughter was in grad school at Carnegie Mellon. It's such a gorgeous countryside! Your scene is a perfect depiction of a night in rural PA, my friend! Beautifully done - thanks for sharing!
What a pretty "childhood memories" card - love the blues shaded together. I can only bet that PA. was cold with lots of snow in the winter. This has been a fun challenge to read about ever ones childhood memories.
Really like the awesome scene you created here. The addition of the layered snow makes this one extra wonderful.
Oh my is this ever precious, love your background and the dimension in the snow, I imagine you have a lot fond memories growing up in rural area!
Absolutely beautiful!
Happy New Year!
