Cardinal turned Blue Jay

Hello Friends. Today's card features the December Tim Holtz limited edition "Feathered Cardinal" that I turned into a blue jay for some frosty winter fun! After die cutting him using mix media paper, I sponged on some distress oxides and added accents with a black sharpie and white gel pen.

 Supplies and tools:

  • Feathered Cardinal (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Mini Holiday Greens (Sizzix - Tim Holtz)
  • Farmhouse Simple Sentiments (Stamp Simply)
  • Create a Flake Dies (Spellbinders)
  • Dashing Rectangles (Elizabeth Craft Designs)
  • Plaid Flannel Background Stamp (Stampers Anonymous - Wendy Vecchi)
  • White Acrylic Paint Splatters
  • White Gel Pen
  • Black Sharpie Marker
  • Yeti Ink Pad (Lawn Fawn)
  • These colors of Distress Oxide (Ranger):
    • Faded Jeans, Salty Ocean, Black Soot, Hickory Smoke

Your blue jay is beautiful - as is his background. I got that die - I'm going to have to move it out of my Christmas stash and keep your card on file for inspiration!
