I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog today with my last card for their Spring Release. This one features their beautiful BRAND NEW Happy Day Iris Stamp and Die set.
To create my background I spread white gesso through the flourish stencil and added a purple medley embossing powder over top. After heat embossing, I trimmed the panel to size and added a strip of paper lace on both the top and bottom. I stamped my irises in waterproof ink and colored them with Arteza Real Brush Pens. Next I added a die cut vellum circle (embossed with the lace embossing folder) behind my flowers to make them stand out a bit from the background.

Beautiful card! As long as I've been stamping, I've never used gesso thru a stencil & heat-embossed. The result is lovely, you've inspired me to try it!
I love these irises, Esther! I never thought about adding embossing powder to gesso. A great idea!
That is gorgeous. Your coloring is lovely and I really like the iris stamped inside. Your cards are always top notch!
