It's been quite a while since I used my Gelli Plate to create a background, but I was inspired to pull it out for today's set of cards. I inked it up with distress oxides and then stamped the Bold Blooms Background over top before using mixed media paper to lift a print.
I used white gesso to stencil a little script in two corners before adding my sentiment. I tore the top and bottom from my final pieces to create a center focal point for my card and leave some white space on each side. The last step was adding a butterfly to one and moth to the other.
If you've followed me for long, you know I don't usually create clean-and-simple cards, but after trying to do a more layered one, I liked the look of a plain white background best.

These are so pretty, Esther! Love the way you used our colors both in the background and on the butterflies. The torn edges were a nice touch too. So happy to see your lovely cards in the gallery at Color Hues. Have a great day!
Oh, Esther, even your CAS cards are stunning! I just don't know how you do it! LOL I am hoping to venture into trying the gelli plate soon. It's not an easy technique to get right (IMHO) but your cards are perfectly done. Love it! Thank you for playing with us at the MMM Challenge and hope you can join in again soon.
