Birthday Greetings

I'm up on the Stamp Simply blog today with this monochromatic birthday card. Today is the last day to get 20% off site wide (including already discounted items) using coupon code: LaborDay20.

I stamped the background words in white pigment ink, added a layer of torn plaid paper, and then torn dictionary paper over top of that. The leaves were stamped in chipped sapphire distress ink and I added some die cut leaves behind them for extra dimension. A tiny blue button and baker's twine bow accent the sentiment. I finished off the inside with a stamped and inked white card panel.

 Supplies from Stamp Simply:

 Other Supplies:

  • Yeti Ink (Lawn Fawn)
  • Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink (Ranger)
  • Button
  • Baker's Twine
  • Dictionary Page

there is just something about monochromatic that I love and this is a beauty, I love the torn background and your die cut leaves behind the stamped ones, great idea with the white stamping on the blue background!
