The Card Concept - Winter Solace

It's time for our first challenge of 2025 over on The Card Concept blog.

Today's challenge is: Winter Solace
Everyone is welcome to play along using the colors, the theme,
textures, items, or just anything from the picture as your starting point.

I was inspired by the deer and pine trees when I created my mixed media card.
To create my card, I started with a piece of light blue cardstock. I used a white pigment ink pad to add white streaks to it and stamped over it in peacock feathers distress ink using a postmark stamp from the TH French Market set. The blue trees were cut from the same cardstock and the edges inked with the same distress ink. The green trees were cut from mixed media paper and inked with rustic wilderness and mowed lawn distress ink. The sentiment and pine trees were stamped in broken china distress oxide. I added white acrylic paint splatters to the sky and die cut trees as well as some tiny blue sequins.
