Pocket Card

 This month Creative Worship Stamps is celebrating 19 years in business so the creative team will be showcasing both old and new products all month long. I chose a sentiment set first released in 2012 as my starting point for creating this pocket card. Rustic Christmas

There is something special about old-world charm during the Christmas season. Today's handmade card captures the nostalgic spirit of the holidays blended with rustic textures and featuring the products of the week from Stamp Simply. 

All the papers are digital and were printed on white card stock. The background was distressed around the edges with scissors. All the images were inked around the edges with vintage photo distress ink. The stars and deer were cut from kraft card stock and inked with walnut stain distress ink to make them darker.

What if I fall?

Sometimes I get my eyes on the circumstances of life instead of looking to the One who's in control. When the waters run deep, and my faith is tested, I can become paralyzed with fear. Faith reminds me that the same God who created the universe is the one holding my hand and I'm never walking alone. 

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.." Isaish 41:10

Today's vintage-inspired junk journal page features printables and stamps from Creative Worship Stamps. The main image was printed on white cardstock and torn out; the complimentary images were printed on clear sticker paper so you can see the stamping and journal page through them. I used a gold gel pen to outline the main features and make them stand out a little more.

Felt Stockings

 The Christmas Stockings & Mittens stamp and die set from Stamp Simply is on sale this week! My card features the stockings die cut from felt and added to a gingham background. I distressed the edges of my printable paper and inked them with vintage photo distress ink before adding the stockings and stamped sentiment.

Still Small Voice

 Today's mini art journaling page features several of the NEW Snowflake products from Creative Worship Stamps. I started by ink smooshing Mermaid Lagoon onto my page. I was going for a color blocking technique, but that failed, so I pivoted and added the stenciled snowflake and then the stamped and die cut ones. Some tiny rhinestones and a half back pearl add a bit of texture and shimmer. Shop the entire October Release here.

Color Blocking Christmas

Autumn Birthday Folio

 The God Will Take Care of You stamp and die set from Stamp Simply is on sale this week and I used it to create an autumn birthday folio. For the papers and tags, I used a printable Scrapbook kit called Country Autumn found on Etsy. 

For the cover I cut my window out of kraft card stock and layered it on one cut from cardboard to create a more 3D effect. I inked over the top one with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and added a cheesecloth curtain behind. I cut two wreaths, inked over them with Peeled Paint Distress Ink, and layered them together to make them fuller. The images were stamped on mixed media paper and colored with Arteza Real Brush Pens.

Inside I made two pockets, one vertical and one horizontal. I stamped the Falling Leaves border down the right side of my card. I accidentally dripped water near the bottom of the panel, so I used a piece of ephemera from the printable set to cover my whoopsie.

The two little tags were created from one of the plainer pieces of printable paper and I added images and a tiny banner to one and stamped images to the other. I love adding bits of lace, ribbon, and tiny paperclips to make things feel a little more cozy.

From our home to yours

 
Today's card uses the NEW Snowflake Whimsy Background from Creative Worship Stamps and several non-Christmas sets to create a festive front door card. I cut the flowers from the top of the flower pots and added a pine branch instead. For the garland above the door, I cut one of the lovely wreaths in half and layered the pieces adding Nuvo drops, a ribbon, and white splatters.  Shop the entire October Release here.

Farmhouse Folio

 The Farmhouse Sentiments stamp sets from Stamp Simply are on sale this week, and I used all four of them in this country farmhouse themed folio.

I used printable papers as my base, printing on both sides of my card stock so that the inside would also have a design. 

I used Walnut Stain distress ink for all the stamped images. By placing the images in my stamping platform I as able to stamp them, color them with waterbrush pens, and then put them back in the platform and restamp them so that all the lines came out crisp and clean.
