Football!

Have I ever mentioned that masculine cards don't come easy for me.  I have a hard time coming up with something masculine that suits my taste and comes out satisfactory.  Since I'm on an "get it out on time" roll, I wanted to get my nephew a card out for his birthday this month.  He's a sports lover (and quite good at many of them for his [almost] 8 years!), so it follows that I wanted to make him a sports related card.  I found a small punch out football in my stash and decided football would be the sport.  Now what to make with my punch out????  I went to Splitcoast for inspiration and the card above was "born."  Wanting to make it extra special I decorated the inside as follows...

Suuplies:

• Brown, Green, Yellow, Black, White Cardstock
• Sizzix alphabets - "Alpha Bubbles" and "Girls are Weird"
• White marker
• Misc. Clip art from my computer

Girly Girl

Most of the names (people) in my Date Book can tell you I'm usually a little behind in getting birthday cards out.  Since I had the house to myself for a few hours last night I decided to knock out the January birthdays and start the year "on time."  Here is the first card I made.....it's for my niece, Olivia.
Supplies:

• teal/white/black card stock
• Misc. paper scraps
  
• dress/shoes die cut (Sizzix)
• Swiss Dots embossing folder
  
• Misc. "Got Flowers"
• Homemade dew drops that my friend made me using this method (she used pearlized nail polish to finish them off)
  
• Sizzix Alpha Bubbles set
• Martha Stewart Lace punch (inside on edges)

For a friend's daughter -- a paper purse (with some $$ inside!).

Spring Quilts

Two more cards I made with my 14 yr. old sister-in-law, Emmie.  She is very creative and my only regret is that we didn't get more time to scrap together.  She really enjoys making things, and had fun using my Cuttlebug while she was here.  Obviously, the butterfly spiraling out of the top of the card makes this a hand deliver only card.....both of us thought it worth it to add it since it makes the card so fun to create!

Oriental Card

Had fun cardmaking with my 14 year old sister-in-law over the holidays.  We didn't get nearly enough time to do it though...so many other things calling our attention!  This card is a product of one of our cardmaking times.
