Faux Cotton Boll Wreath

I've been wanting a cotton boll wreath for my bedroom, but not really wanting to spend the money on one just yet.
I happened upon a pin for making faux cotton branches and decided to give it a try.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out - and it only cost me the price of a bag of jumbo cotton balls since I had the other supplies!

Pretty Clipboard Frame

Here's an upcycled metal picture frame that I painted and turned into a pretty clipboard frame. After painting I added a burlap insert with pretty lace bow, a burlap hanger, and clothespin clip.
 Perfect for clipping your favorite
 photo, recipe, verse, or quote.
Use it in your Farmhouse, Shabby Chic, Cottage Charm decor or perhaps for wedding/shower decor!
Available in my Etsy shop!

I Believe

I got this "I believe" stamp on clearance at Hobby Lobby a while back, and decided to make up some cards in the same design as the 60th anniversary one I did last month.
I love the clean and simple layout of this design with the pretty embossing in the background.
I love doing distressed edges by scraping my scissors along the side - it adds texture and interest to the card!

Supplies and Tools: Sentiment Stamp (American Art Stamps),
Scalloped Daisy Border punch for tiny flowers (Fiskars), Cherry Blossom Embossing Folder (Darcie), Scissors, Gray Ink

Decorating with antiques

My brother knows that I've recently come to enjoy collecting and  decorating with antiques/old stuff.
He saved me three things that his
customers ask him to "get rid of" for him!
The first was some old wooden ladders.
He cut me off a section and I'm using
it in my living room as a blanket ladder!
The second item was an old metal mop bucket.
I turned it into a magazine/book bin for my guest room.
The last item was an old wooden toolbox.
I stood it up on end and am using it as a
lamp stand in one corner of my dining room.
Always fun to re-purpose "old stuff" and I love how homey
antiques make a house feel!
