Apples for you

Received a thank you card the other day that became the inspiration for this harvest apple card.  I noticed the apple shapes were somewhat heart shaped and decided to try a paper piecing of my own.
I started out to make a tent card, but I didn't care for how it turned out so I altered the inside to look like this:
Here's a close up of that fabric rose on the front -- I made it using the "Tattered Fabric Rose" tutorial on the side of this blog
Here's a close up of the sentiment so you can see the details
Supplies used on this card were:
  • DP - Classics (K & Company)
  • Circle Nestabilities (to cut the window in the front of the card)
  • Scallop Circle Nestabilites (to make the fame for around the window)
  • Fabric (for rose and bow)
  • Felt (leaves under rose)
  • MS branch punch (under leaves)
  • Harvest Expressions Stamp (Inkadinkadoo)
  • Copper Embossing Powder (Zing)
  • Threading Water Border Punch (Fiskars)
  • Brown/Yellow/White cardstock (apple pieces)
  • Swiss Dots Embossing Folder (provo craft) on white apple piece
  • MS Leaf Punch (apple leaves)
Here's the card that inspired that apple...
I'm entering this card over at Speedy The Cat's Challenge  for this week --- to make a Harvest Card
