Laundry Room Makeover Post #2

Today I'll show you the country ensemble I put together on and above my dryer. I got the pretty wreath at a local country store-----love the little rag balls in it -- they match the ones I bought to put into a Mason Jar on top of my dryer.
I made the stuffed mason jar attached to the side by

1. stamping my jar stamp 
2. layering a piece of batting and another piece of muslin 
3. sewing around it
4. lightly penciling "friends" on the front
5. embroidering  over the saying
6. coloring over the whole thing lightly with colored pencils
7. adding a few buttons

Of course the country look includes baskets - so I put my clothes pins in this one and added a torn strip of gingham fabric and a stuffed paper bag star to it. 
The paper bag star was made by

1. stamping a background stamp onto a paper bag
2. cutting out a star shape
3. sewing another paper star shape to the back
4. stuffing it with batting
