Shabby Chic Wedding

One last wedding card for the special couple getting married this spring.  Since I am making no less than 3 cards for them (one from me, one from a friend who commissioned me to make her's, and one from our church) I wanted them all to be distinctively different.  This last one is going to be from our church -- I'll have everyone write a little note of congratulations in it and we'll give it to them along with some $$, a Cleaning Supplies Basket, and a Baking Basket.
Supplies used on this card include:
  • Soft pink flannel and batting
    • to make the heart
  • Crochet thread
    • to make the scalloped border around the heart
  • White lace
    • I glued some around the heart on the inside edge AND
    • attached another piece of daisy lace behind the heart across the card front
  • Zipper ends
    • to make the zipper flower
  • Green felt and pearl beads
    • behind the zipper flower
  • Pink ribbon
    • for the pink bow
  • Postcard printable from this page
  • Fiskars scallop flower border punch
  • Lace Doily
  • Sparkle Flourish Stamp Set (Scrappy Cat)
  • White Embossing Powder

I love the whole card, but that mini postcard in the middle of the heart really caught my eye! I never thought to downsize them and use them like that, but it's absolutely brilliant. Thanks for yet another wonderful idea! :)
