Prismacolor Scholar Pencils

I have wanted something nice to color images with for some time.
Something with several shades in each color, but also something that didn't cost a fortune!
I really liked the Prismacolor pencils, but the price was a bit more than I wanted to pay!
After a little research I discovered that the Scholar set
 a) had the same soft lead as the Premium sets but with some hard lead added in to make them less likely to break
b) could still be blended with very nice results
c) had plenty of color options for shading
d) cost a WHOLE lot less!!!
I decided to try the Prismacolor Scholar Pencils - and as you can see the colors turn out very vivid!
(Would you have guessed these were colored with colored pencils?)
BTW- I use baby oil and Q-tips to blend them -- I like to save money on supplies whenever possible!
Supplies used:
  • Stamps
    •  Leaf  stamp (Martha Stewart)
    • Victorian Butterflies (Rubber Stampede)
    • Flora Grande 2 (Heartfelt Creations)
  • Glitter
  • Prismacolor Scholar Pencils
  • Scallops Embossing Folder (Sizzix)
