Thrift Store Decorating

The Dining Room
A couple weeks back I "hit the jackpot" at the thrift store and found several good deals.
I got the lantern for $3 and the berry garland (wrapped around the lantern) for something like $1.
The garland was new and still had the original $20 price tag on it!
I also got the little handled bowls in the top of my secretary (below) for $1.
I've seen several decorating ideas on-line that show the doors open on hutches, corner cabinets, etc., so I decided to try a new look and open my doors.
I added a wreath to the right side and a tea towel (with an added burlap heart) to the left.
I'm enjoying the new look my purchases and open cabinet give my dining room.

The Guest Bath
The same day I found the lantern & garland - I found a white cabinet for above the toilet in my guest bath.
The cabinet prompted a bathroom "makeover" using decorations I already had elsewhere in my house.
(It's hard to get good pictures in a tiny, windowless bathroom - but you can get an idea of the decor from these.)
To make this frame: I used a  piece of chicken wire and strip of lace across the bottom.
My only purchases for this makeover were a shower curtain and rug totaling $13!

The Living Room
This project has been on my to-do list for quite some time, but I just hadn't found the "perfect frame" ---- until today!
I purchased an old oval frame from a local thrift store, and with a little paint and fabric I turned it into a fun, burlap-lined tray for my coffee table.
