Casting all your care

My (non-cardmaking) sister-in-law sent me the coolest one-layer long card for my birthday last year, which (of course) I used for inspiration in my handmade cardmaking! I gently undid the envelope and traced it off for a pattern which I'm sharing below.

I use a 8.5 x 11 stack of thin designer paper I bought a long time ago for making my envelopes. The paper isn't really my style anymore, so rather than throw it away, I turn it into envelopes for my odd shaped cards.  I usually add a little something to them to make them coordinate with the card.

Supplies and Tools:
Kraft/Teal/White/Red Cardstock, Teacup Stamp (PSX), Paper Doily, Circle & Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Stamp and Cut Handmade Tags (Hero Arts), Choose Happiness (Stampin' Up), Different Strokes Stamp Set (Basic Grey), Washi Tape, Biblical Impressions, Sequins, Fired Brick , Mermaid Lagoon, & Vintage Photo Distress Ink (Tim Holtz)

This is stunning, Esther. Your cards for the coffee hop have all been amazing. I hope you win a prize. I've played along in this challenge for years now, and I've never once won anything. I always say "I'm finished", and then I do it again. I'm not sure why...guess it's cuz I really do LOVE coffee and love making coffee cards for my coffee-loving friends and relatives. I honestly have had fun commenting on all the entries (yup, every single one) even though I won't be in the running for that prize either (just a personal decision). There have been some AMAZING cards. Anyway...good luck to you. Your cards have been gorgeous.

Also, thanks for having me again as a GDT for CropStop. I appreciate you thinking of me. It's nice to see the participation growing a bit in the challenge, and all the great tutorials you share. I hope Haylie-Jo is getting more traffic in the store because of all your efforts.

I appreciate you!
Have a blessed day,

This is just gorgeous and such a beautiful design. Love how you did the washi papers and also stamped the sprig of leaves - perfection.

Love the design of the card, pretty combo of washi tape and sequins! I do the same thing with my paper that I don't think I would use on my cards I use them for envelopes :)
