Dryer Sheet Texture

A few years ago there was technique going around that featured stamped scenes with a used dryer sheet glued over the top and glitter added.  I tried it, but found it dulled my stamping more than I liked. After experimenting for a while I came up with a different way to use them. I love the texture they added to my big stamped flowers.  To make my cards, I stamped the Flora Grande 2 (Heartfelt Creations) small flower in Pink Lipstick Distress Oxide ink on watercolor paper and splashed it up a bit using my paintbrush, water, and distress oxide.  Next I cut a strip of white cardstock and punched both sides with the embroidered lace border punch from Martha Stewart. Down the middle of my punched piece I added a strip of washi tape.  I used some tiny seed beads to embellish the center of my dryer sheet flower before adhering it to the center of my card.

 Inside I stamped a sentiment from the All Things Are Possible set (Heartfelt Creations) and colored parts of it in with my Prismacolor Pencils. I punched a few tiny flowers with my Scalloped Daisy Border punch (Fiskars) to finish it off.
